Attila Adorján

2011/04/06-2011/04/30

Ari Kupsus Gallery presents fifteen pastels by Attila Adorján, one of the most emblematic artists of Hungarian photorealism. The works in the current exhibition are somewhat exceptional in Adorján’s oeuvre and show a more intimate side of his art than his oil paintings. Due to the nature of the medium, the importance of the line takes great proportion, revealing the movements of figures and the folds of drapery in an honest and moving way. The new medium has opened up unexplored territories of the imagination, and surrealism itself has become an organizing force in some of the pieces.
